Future of Instagram

May 3, 2012 by johnathan Leave a Comment
Facebook acquire Instagram

What is the future of Instagram now that Facebook has bought it. Will Instagram change or change Facebook? Everyone is hoping that the app stays the same and hope this will only increase Facebook picture taking and integrate Instagram into the Facebook application. It has been only 17 months and Instagram has gone up to a value of 1 million dollars; doubling overnight when it value was 500,000 when Facebook came into the picture to acquire them. I believe this couple benefit both companies and be a great thing for the future of Read more

Choosing Community Partners

April 26, 2012 by intern Leave a Comment
Bradenton Marauders logo

Brittney and I attended the latest FPRA (Florida Public Relations Association) Luncheon, the topic was "How Choosing the Right Community Partners Can Help Your Business Grow". The speaker was Rachelle Madrigal, the Manager of Sales & Marketing for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders. Rachelle was a great speaker: she got up, gave her speech, answered questions, all without a distracting Powerpoint presentation. She went into great detail about the different "Community Partners" that the Pirates and the Marauders have lasting relationships Read more

For our business to maintain relevancy, we need to constantly evolve in order to keep the interest of our users. This applies to our brand, website, and yes . . . even social media, specifically Facebook. One of Facebook's newest ways of evolution has been the introduction of their timeline. We've heard a lot of chatter on this issue. Some love the timeline, some don't. We've compiled a few reasons why you and your business should embrace it. One of the many great features of the timeline is that it offers more real estate to showcase your brand, Read more

Pinterest… How legal is it?

March 28, 2012 by johnathan
Pinterest

Are you pinning yet? Daily users have increased 145% since the start of 2012. WOW. I can't even imagine that! Why is Pinterest such a big deal? People have been pinning or bookmarking things for forever. Making lists of websites and items on their own computer. If I look at my web browser I can tell you things I found, things that I like, and things I use all the time. How is Pinterest different from bookmarks? It's not different at all. Well... maybe a little. They just turned bookmarks into pinning and threw on a graphical twist to the look of Read more

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

March 16, 2012 by brittney
St. Paddy's BEE

At this point, we should all be familiar with St.Patrick's Day as a green wearing, corned beef eating, and beer/whiskey drinking holiday.  St.Patrick's Day is actually a very religious holiday very rich in culture. It is traditionally celebrated on March 17th and commemorates St. Patrick, one of the most recognised saints of Ireland. Today, he is one of the most recognised saints in the world. He was born in Britain. Early on in his life, he was captured and sold into slavery to become a sheep farmer. A few years later, he escaped and spend his early Read more

Happy Leap Year

February 29, 2012 by brittney
Leap Year

We thought we'd write a post today on Leap Year seeing how we won't have another chance for 4 more years. Leap Year actually has a few traditions that we'd never heard of and thought might be fun to share. If you are not familiar with why Leap Year happens, let me explain. The Earth doesn't take exactly 365 days to orbit the sun. It's actually closer to 365.242 days. This amounts to almost six extra hours a year, which over time does add up. A Leap Year helps to prevent the shift that would happen to our calendars because of these extra hours. Without Read more

February 23, 2012 by johnathan

People are asking how will it affect the Internet? There are many questions that need to be answered but the most important issue is how will it affect your own business? You have links on your web site to different sites and the bill will affect even your social media. Tweeting to posting on Facebook are even going to be controlled because of what you are linking to. The sites you link to will have to be sited or you will have a chance that your site will be pulled down. Also search engine optimization SEO will be changing so that will affect Read more

Learning about SEO and YouTube

February 15, 2012 by intern
You Tube SEO

As the newest Intern I was invited by the ladies of Brand Eleven Eleven to attend a my first SEO seminar; "Increasing your SEO using YouTube", sponsored by Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and held at the Meadows Country Club. The speaker was Maggie Lacher, the Regional Marketing Director for Florida Radiation Oncology Group and she was fabulous! I learned a great deal about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in general, but also how to use YouTube as a marketing tool and maxing out it's potential. Who knew that search engines really crawl the Read more

YouTube SEO

YouTube

Did you know that YouTube was started by early employees of PayPal? Did you also know that YouTube was one of the fastest growing sites on the web during the summer of 2006 and then purchased by Google for $1.65 million dollars? If you didn't, than I bet you also may not have known that YouTube is an extremely powerful search engine with the ability to embed SEO. Much like your own website, your YouTube page and videos have the ability to be searched by Google. Everyday, web spiders crawl every single line of code on your YouTube page. Believe it or Read more

Small Business New Year’s Resolutions

January 20, 2012 by brittney
new-years-eve

We all know how difficult it is to keep a New Year's resolution, your business is probably no exception. Gyms are packed with people looking for a healthy start and to drop the holiday pounds, but how many of those people will be on the treadmill six months from now. Odds are half, maybe less. The same probably goes for your business resolutions. Business owners may start out with high expectations and business goals. The trick is not to allow the everyday work load and busyness of the week, deflect you from what you and your company is trying to Read more
