Blogging started in 1997 and really boomed in 1999. It became a terrific way for businesses to share information with customers and their target audience. However, businesses have shifted away from the core value of how a blog is supposed to help the business grow. Remember that a blog is a tool to share your information and show your expertise. It is not a personal diary of your day, or a place to share your favorite YouTube videos, or a place to rant about politics. Decide if you are going to use your content as a personal outlet, or to increase … [Read more...]

Learning about SEO and YouTube
As the newest Intern I was invited by the ladies of Brand Eleven Eleven to attend a my first SEO seminar; "Increasing your SEO using YouTube", sponsored by Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and held at the Meadows Country Club. Who knew that search engines really crawl the … [Read more...]

Linked In, Is it worth your time?
I was not a huge supporter of linked in for quite a while and decided last year to give Linked In a try and found it be pretty static at first. But as the year went on they continued making improvements to the site. Some the things I found the most helpful were the following: Looking for a specific service (I was able to post a need I had for a contract worker in various groups and received valuable leads in a very short period of time). Joining like minded individuals through the use of groups. (This was great for staying on top of industry news … [Read more...]
