AC Heroes: An Illustrator’s Journey
Throughout my life, I've accumulated a good size bucket list. Skydiving, swimming with dolphins, being a Price is Right contestant, and illustrating a children's book have all been at the top of my list. Since childhood, I've always been the type of person interested in drawing and anything art related, so illustrating a book seemed fitting. For years the opportunity never seemed to present itself for one reason or another, until this year. As a designer for Brand Eleven Eleven, I have the pleasure of working with all sorts of great people. One of my … [Read more...]
Part 1: Evaluate Your Mission, Vision and Goals
First of all if you don't have a mission, vision or any business goals set, now is the time to do that. It is very hard to start achieving your goals without writing them down and laying the foundation for you to achieve those goals. We believe in goals both personally and as a business. If you have a mission and vision look at them and really read and understand these. Do they still represent what you are trying to achieve? A companies mission and vision don't change often but there are times when a change to a companies mission or vision is in the … [Read more...]

Keeping Your Brand Current
Like many others, the first thing that I do upon looking for a specific type of business, is head straight to Google. Odds are, if the company’s site has not been updated since the 1994, does not link to social media, or there is a lack of website all together, I will immediately keep searching for something else. To me, that really says a lot about the business and those who run it. I will always go with the company who has the better looking and user friendly website no matter what. You simply cannot succeed or advance if you are out of the loop. … [Read more...]
Now That’s a Wrap
After what has seemed like a very long road Brand Eleven Eleven completed their rebranding today with much needed signage. Now That's A Wrap (Road Sign, Inc) installed both a perforated door sign and an outdoor road sign. Now That's A Wrap was established in 2004 as Road Signs, Inc by Keith Bernard. Keith at that point had over 14 years of training and experience working with his father's sign company. Brand Eleven Eleven employees had previously worked with Keith at his father's company and knew of his outstanding customer service and high … [Read more...]
Collaboration: Jack West Exhibit
We have had the ability lately to collaborate on quite a few projects. Two in particular where especially fun and were a reminder to us that expanding our resources when necessary to meet a clients needs can create an amazing outcome. The first project we worked on was with Booth Studio. They were commissioned a very large job by the Visitor's Bureau and Joe King of King Architects to photograph, scan and retouch old drawings and images and design the Jack West Exhibition. Jack West is from the Sarasota School of Architecture and his buildings can be … [Read more...]
Clients that Make Sense
We recently went through the experience of having to accept that some clients just aren't a good fit with our company. In this economy, this was a very hard realization to make. As a company we stuck by our principles as a business and made the right choice. When developing our new brand we thought long and hard about the type of clients we would like to work side-by-side with and we made a list of the 11 qualities our clients should possess. If you haven't seen the list please stop and read it. So . . . we were approached with a potential web … [Read more...]
What We Look for in Our Clients
When creating Brand Eleven Eleven we spent many hours deciding what type of company we were going to be and what type of principles we were going to have. Out of those meetings, we ended up with sidenotes randomly placed on our whiteboards. These notes were reminders to us about what type of clients we wanted to have and how we wanted to work with them. We turned those notes into a list and have posted it for all to see. If you missed it under our About Us menu, here they are in no particular order! Partner: Looking to work with an agency instead of … [Read more...]
